The Department of Transportation reports work crews will close US 51 at the Bearskin Trail Bridge for one night only, beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2.
The highway is scheduled to reopen before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3. To ensure public safety, the trail over the new bridge will also be closed while crews are removing the old bridge. During the closure, through traffic will be detoured via US 8 and WIS 47.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. The closure is necessary for crews to remove the old Bearskin bridge.
