Vendors Sought For Three Lakes Oktoberfest

It's not too early to be thinking about fall events, as the promoters for Three Lakes Oktoberfest celebration are looking for vendors with some of the funds going to help local students.

Heather Biro of the Black Forest Pub and Grill is also involved with the Three Lakes Parent-Teacher Organization. She says business started the Oktoberfest two years ago and moved it to the street by restaurant last year. Attendance grew to about a thousand last year.

"...The proof is this is an event people are excited about. and they continue to want to see it grow...."

Biro says the free event is designed to work with a non-profit organization. Last year it was the Three Lakes Center for the Arts...

"....This year's non-profit partner is the Parent-Teacher Organization of the Three Lakes Elementary School..."

This year's event is set for Saturday, September 15 from11a.m.to 4 p.m. in downtown Three Lakes. Traditional German food and beverages will be served along with live music from the Jim Pekol band. Biro says the event is open for vendors... 

"....We'll have a number of vendors with a lot of different wares. We'll have demonstrations going on with diffeerent artisans. We're also looking to fill more spaces for vendors and artisans. If anyone is interested in participaing in this festival, now is a time to get an application in...."
