Sheriffs in Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln and Iron counties, as well as multiple local police chiefs, won’t enforce the mask-wearing mandate put into place by Gov. Tony Evers on Thursday.

Arrest Made After Drug Find In Forest County

Police arrested a man in Forest County after officers say they found a quarter ounce of Methamphetamine in his vehicle.

According to a press release from the Forest County Sheriff’s Office, the Forest County Drug Task Force stopped the vehicle in the Town of Lincoln around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

A K-9 gave the car a check and gave a positive indication for drugs.  Police say a search turned up the Methamphetamine.

The driver, 32 year old Darrin Wilson of Crandon, was taken into custody.

Sheriff's Department officials say a registered sex offender will be released next week from treatment to live in Forest county.

Sheriff John Dennee reports 52-year-old James Lalor will be released next Thursday(1/3/2019) and will reside at 8901 Sand Lake Road in Crandon.

Law enforcement from Forest and Langlade counties partnered last week in the arrest of a Green Bay man for drug distribution.

Acting on a tip from Forest county, a Langlade County Sheriff's deputy stopped a vehicle Thursday on Wisconsin Highway 55 at county "K" in the Town of Ainsworth. The vehicle was driven by 25 year old Ky Martin.

The Langlade County deputy asked for the Forest County K9 unit. The dog indicated drugs and deputies allegedly found 23 greams of heroin and 41 grams of crack cocaine along with Ecstasy, Oxycodone, marijuana and paraphernalia.

One of six people charged with the attempted homicide of a man will continue with a high bond.

 March 13, bond for 45 year old Raymond Jones was set at $100,000 in Forest county court. He appeared via video from jail Wednesday, charged with attempted first-degree homicide, four other felonies and three misdemeanors.

  Six persons... four adults and two juveniles, have been arrested for the attempted murder of an unidentifed person.   The Forest County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant Wednesday in the town of Wabeno. They arrested 45 year old Raymond Jones. He will likely face 1st degree attempted homicide charges, along with 8 other charges including strangulation and suffocation. Also charged as party to the same offenses were 38 year old April Jones, 21 year old Justine A. Bey, and 18 year old Samantha B.S. McClellan.
