Never Forgotten Honor Flight

The Never Forgotten Honor Flight hub based in Wausau has flown nearly 2,400 veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials to their conflicts. Due to achieving a safety mark, Wisconsin Public Service has donated $2,500 to keep the flights going.

Wisconsin Public Service spokesperson Matt Cullen says two Honor Flight organizations benefited...

".....as a result of Wisconsin Public Service employees meeting their designated safety goals for the fourth quarter of 2016, employees were able to vote on making a donation to a charitable organization that operates within their communities. As a result, Wisconsin Public Service and Wisconsin Public Service Foundation presented donations to both the Old Glory Honor Flight and the Never Forgotten Honor Flight...."

Old Glory Honor Flight is based in northeastern Wisconsin. Never Forgotten Honor Flight serves central Wisconsin and most of the Northwoods. Both organizations get no tax dollars and are supported by private donations only.
