$1-million bond set for suspect in Gogebic County shootings

The suspect in a deadly shooting in Gogebic County will be held on $1-million bond.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office says Nicholas Millard, 30, of Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, is being held in the Gogebic County Jail.

The Gogebic County Prosecutor charged Millard with felonies including premeditated murder, assault with intent to commit murder, and two weapons charges.

Millard was arraigned in 98th district court on Sunday

Early on Christmas Eve, Millard was accused of shooting two people at a cabin in Marenisco Township.

Thomas Fletcher, 49, of Marenisco Township was killed.

Austin Fletcher, 22, of Irvine, California, was taken for hospital treatment but has since been released.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
