An issue with a boiler at Rhinelander City Hall caused the evacuation of the building after carbon monoxide was detected.

Rhinelander Fire Department personnel report going to city hall Friday morning.

A spokesperson says one person was transported to St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance.

A large fan was being used to vent the carbon monoxide from the basement. Most employees returned to work by 11 a.m.
