Former Vilas county sheriff James Williquette died March 12 in Green Bay after a short illness. He was 84 years old.
Williquette was sheriff of Vilas county for 14 years before retiring in 1992. He had also served on the Eagle River police force. Funeral services will be Friday( 3/16) in Green Bay.
