Electors in the town of St. Germain have soundly defeated a request for a building plan costing $3.5 million.
The vote to authorize the plan was defeated 292-96.
There were three questions before St. Germain residents.
The first asked about the building, the second asked money for a generator and the third a metal roof, both for the new building.
Since the first question was defeated, the other two questions were moot.
Electors earlier soundly defeated a $6.8 million request for a new community building. The town board came back to electors with a scaled back proposal which was defeated Tuesday.
