A man was hit by a car during a hit-and-run accident on State Road 17 near County Highway X yesterday evening.
He was treated for injuries that were not life threatening at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
Police say the accident happened after the 37-year-old got out of his car on the side of the road to yell at the driver behind him for driving too close.
That driver, a 49-year-old man, sped up and hit the pedestrian.
Oneida County deputies found the driver as he continued north on State Road 17.
They arrested him for a Hit-and-Run Causing Injury and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
He was taken to the Lincoln County Jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
