Storm causes road and lane closures across North Central Wisconsin, driving conditions worsening

Road conditions are varied across the region Thursday morning.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation 511 website is showing several highway closures as of 9:30 a.m.

Highway 45 just south the intersection with Highway 70 in Eagle River is closed in both directions.

The Town of Three Lakes said road crews have been out since 1:00 a.m.

It asks people to stay home if possible and use caution if you are driving.

Slippery road conditions are forming on roads as the temperatures drop.

Highway 70 East is closed from County J to Halberstadt Road east of St. Germain. Traffic is being flagged in the westbound lane.

Just south of Antigo, WIS 47 South is closed from County D to County W with Pine Ln. This is because of a utility emergency.
