A duplex in Presque Isle was damaged in a fire.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office says first responders were called out to the home just before 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
Smoke and flames were seen coming out of the home.
The Sheriff’s Office says it appears the fire started on the lower right side of the duplex in the kitchen area.
No one was in the duplex when the fire started and there were not any reported injuries.
At this point, there is nothing that appears suspicious in nature.
Fire departments from six surrounding communities responded.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Presque Isle Fire Department and Vilas County Sheriff’s Office.
