The Merrill Police Department is mourning the death of one of its officers.
In a Facebook post, the department announced Officer Riley Kurtz died from medical complications.
He was a three year veteran of the Merrill Police Department and Kronenwetter Police Department.
Merrill police say the funeral arrangements are pending.
It asks for prayers for his family.
