A bicyclist died after being hit east of Eagle River. The Vilas County Sheriff's Department tells us the accident happened on State Highway 70 around 8:00 last night. It happened near 2600 State High 70. A vehicle heading east struck the bicyclist in the east bound lane. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not cited. The investigation of the accident is still underway. The victim's name has not been released yet.
