Lincoln County Sheriff Ken Schneider is crediting the K9 Nina and her handler Deputy Sam Steckbauer for helping save the life of an Irma woman.
Police were called to a home in the Town of Skanawan Thursday afternoon for a report of a missing woman.
K9 Nina was called in and quickly tracked the woman through the woods near the home.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Irma woman had severe injuries.
She was transported by paramedics to a nearby landing zone where she was airlifted by Life Link III Helicopter to the trauma center.
