Hi! I am Allie Johnson and I host the Bluegrass show on the 2nd Saturday of the month. I also dabble in Crossroads Cafe when a sub is needed and I’ve done a few Open Turntables. I volunteer at WXPR because I love music and I love sharing it with others. I also love what WXPR stands for and the active part it plays in the Northwoods. I really enjoy being part of such a dynamic team that allows me to be creative and share a bit of myself!
Here’s what I’m listening to as of today–
- Brandi Carlile’s new album “In These Silent Days” is a feat of absolute inspiration. It blows me away every time I listen
- The Ghost of Paul Revere are described as The Maine-grown, foot-stompin’ holler-folk quartet. All of their music is fun and full of meaning.
- The Lil Smokies: They take Bluegrass to the next level with their artistry and lyrics. Listening to their music is an experience in itself
- The Kitchen Dwellers-a Montana-based band that literally started in a kitchen. So much fun music coming from them!
