Langlade County's  Fair is  in full swing at the Langlade County Fairgrounds on Highway 45 on Antigo’s northside.

Country Nights and Carnival lights is the theme for this year’s event. Live music is featured daily through Saturday with no charge for gate admission.

There will be lots of action in the grandstands beginning with IRA Sprint car Races on Friday night, Action Auto Demo Derby on Saturday night and ending on Sunday evening with the Tractor Pull. Grandstand admission varies daily by the event.

Deb Wirth, Langlade County 4H Leaders Association and Langlade County Fair Board Member was asked about this years fair..

“Family oriented. A lot of people bring their kids, it’s a lot of family. It’s a very relaxed
environment, very kid friendly, friendly people. Good music and good food. How’s that?”

The Langlade County 4-H  has plenty of animals on hand for viewing.

Ten year old Dylan Dobratz of Wausau, explained how he will show ‘Idol’, a brown spring jersey heifer....

“Well, you have to smile at the judge. You have to lead your cow. Make sure every time the judge tells you to stop, you must make sure she is set up correctly. Because if the judges are on one side, you have to make her face that way, if the judges are on the other  side you have to make her other feet go.”

A Saturday horse show will start at 9:00 a.m. Animal judging and a variety of exhibits will continue through Sunday.
