'Dark Money' Law Weakened Says Campaign Financing Reform Advocate

As elections head toward a decision next month, the airwaves and mailboxes are filling wih advertising from sometimes mysterious groups running 'issue ads' which are thinly masked advocacy for a particular candidate. This is often called 'dark money'.

A U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2010 allowed these groups to exist with limits.  A recent Wisconsin court decision removed another legal barrier in the process.
