More improvements for Rhinelander's largest park.

The Rhinelander Community Foundation awarded the City of Rhinelander an additional grant for new ropes and buoys for the beach at Hodag Park, according to Sue Makris,, the Foundation's coordinator...

"....the Community Foundation Board of Directors voted to award a grant to pay for the new ropes and buoys at Hodag beach. It allowed the city fo expand the swimming area and added a safety factor as the ropes and buoys are brighter and there's no concern about people getting cut on the previous broken buoys...."

Last year the Foundation awarded $5,000 to begin the work to upgrade the swimming area, including new docks. This latest grant was under $1,000. The Foundation earlier this year awarded $25,000 to the city to repair a restroom area at Hodag Park.

The Rhinelander Community Foundation is working to make improvements in the community through charitable giving.
