The movie "Concussion" has focused attention again on the role repeated head trauma can have on athletes.

The movie is the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu and the autopsy he performed on Rhinelander High School graduate and NFL Hall of Famer Mike Webster. It led to a newly defined category of trauma, known as CTE. That autopsy has led to a sea change in how an organization as large as the NFL all the way down to the local level deals with athletic head trauma.

Next, WXPR News Director Ken Krall talks about CTE with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jason Lowry from Ministry Health Care in Rhinelander who works with Rhinelander schools' athletic programs.
