One person died in a snowmobile accident over the weekend.
Langlade County first responders got a call about an accident around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.
It happened on the trails north of Highway 64 in the town of Evergreen. That's roughly halfway between Antigo and White Lake.
The Langlade County Sheriff’s Office says Conrad Schmidt, 23, didn’t make a turn, hit a tree, and was thrown from the snowmobile.
The West Bend man was taken to Aspirus Langlade Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Wisconsin DNR is investigating the crash.
