WXPR recently welcomed two new members to its White Pine Broadcasting, Inc. Board of Directors.
Jeff Burke, of Presque Isle, and Phil Hejtmanek, of Harshaw were elected to serve. Both also volunteer as music program hosts on WXPR. The board consists of twelve community volunteers, bringing WXPR a variety of skills, backgrounds, and in all cases, a passion for excellent public radio.
Richard Gsell stepped in as new board chair, with Treasurer Kim Zambon, and Secretary Patty Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was recently re-elected at the WXPR annual meeting in April by station membership for another term. Board member Rose Prunty of Antigo steps into the Vice Chair position. Diane Reupert is the outgoing board chair.
Members of the board of directors also serve on committees that are tasked with station governance, fund raising, personnel, and finance. WXPR’s board meets seven times each year. Board meetings are open to the public.
