Deer hunters have a chance to talk directly with DNR staff over the noon hour today(11/16/2015) prior to the Saturday opening of Wisconsin's nine-day gun deer season. Kevin Wallenfang is a DNR Big Game Ecologist....

He says bow hunters have used the new registration system by electronically registering more than 62,000 deer harvested so far. The deer can be registered over the phone or on the Internet. Wallenfang says hunters can ask about new electronic registration...

"....We've put together a system that has already been used by 62,000 bow hunters this year. Folks can now register their deer by jumping on the telephone or going on the Internet and answering questions about deer they've just harvested...."
