Vilas county authorities have released the name of the person killed early Monday near Conover.
The Vilas County Coroner's office says 84 year old Kathryn Bauer of Conover died in the blaze. The Sheriff's office was called at 3:23 Monday morning to 3179 US 45. When fire units arrived, the residence was fully engulfed.
No cause of the blaze has been determined, but there are no indications the fire is suspicious.
The investigation is continuing.
Conover firefighters were assisted by Plum Lake and the Eagle River fire departments.
