Two people from the region are facing drug trafficking charges after indictment by federal prosecutors following a finding by a grand jury.
32 year old Joel Helding of Tomahawk and 25 year old Valerie Flores of Wausau are facing charges of allegedly trying to sell more than 200 pounds of marijuana. Helding was also charged with having a gun involved in drug trafficking
The charges come from the U.S. Attorney's Office for Western Wisconsin. The arrests happened in January.
