Ben Meyer
News ContributorBen worked as the Special Topics Correspondent at WXPR from September 2019 until November 2021. He now contributes occasionally to WXPR. During his full-time employment, his main focus was reporting on environment and natural resources issues in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula as part of The Stream, a weekly series. His work also included reporting on the changing landscape of employment and the economy in the region.
Originally from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, Ben is a graduate of UW-Madison. He lives in Rhinelander with his wife, Erika, and son, Rhys. Ben is now a stay at home father and is currently pursuing a law degree at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in the Twin Cities. He is an avid Brewers and Badgers fan, and enjoys doing outdoor projects, running, and competing in triathlons. Ben is also a WIAA basketball official and calls play-by-play for some Rhinelander Hodags sports.
