A change of date for a popular event that brings in food for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the build date for the 2019 CANtastics competition has been changed to Saturday, March 2.
The 9th Annual event will be at the Rouman Cinema and this year’s theme is “Hunger Is Not A Game".
Competing area teams showcase their talents by designing and constructing sculptures made with donated or purchased canned goods. At the close of the competition, prizes are awarded. The CANtastic creations will be on display for two weeks to allow the public to view and judge them. With this change there is now additional time to register and the CANtastic Steering Committee is still actively seeking more ‘build teams’ to participate.
