People in the Rhinelander area can learn about employment opportunities at a drive-thru job fair next week.
The Northern Advantage Job Center regularly hosts in-person job fairs.
But it’s trying a drive-thru fair as a COVID-19 precaution.
“A lot of people are thinking that a lot of jobs aren’t hiring right now, but there are a ton of job openings right now, said Employment and Training Specialist Jenny Kowalczyk. “With unemployment rates so high, we are hoping that we will have a nice turnout.”
The fair will be next Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m.
The parking lot of the Northern Advantage Job Center will host the fair.
“We’re going to have individuals enter off of Rives Street. They’re going to pull up, we’re going to have a bagful of 19 or 20 different employers [offering information]. We’re going to just hand it to them and they can take the bag home,” Kowalczyk said.
There’s no preregistration required.
