A man died after a snowmobile accident on North Twin Lake in Conover on Friday.
The Vilas County Sheriff says it appears the man crashed into his snowmobile trailer, which was parked on the lake next to an ice shack.
The driver was thrown from the snowmobile and hit the ice.
He was found unconscious in the ice shack.
Conover, Phelps and Eagle River ambulance services responded to the accident, along with the Wisconsin DNR and the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office.
They were not able to save the man’s life.
