Jessie joined WXPR in 2003. She feels thrilled to work with such a talented and dedicated group of volunteers and staff, and enjoys meeting and getting to know the supporters that make WXPR possible. When she’s not at WXPR, she’s reading, camping, skiing, or spending time with her two sons and husband Jay. WXPR listeners hear Jessie on various music shows, during membership drives, weekly on All Things Considered, and occasionally on Morning Edition

This Italian cultural adventure is hosted by WXPR Development Director, Dave Havel.   Your journey begins with a flight to Rome, then on to Assisi, Siena, Florence, Chianti, Venice with a final stop in Milan.   Daily expert led tours, 4 and 5 star hotels in city centers, and 13 meals included.

The annual WXPR Blues Cruise down the Wisconsin River leaves the dock, Saturday, August 19th, at 6:00pm.  We’re excited to welcome Robert "One Man" Johnson this year as our entertainment.

Tickets are $35.00. The ticket price includes a reserved sit-down dinner, concert and two hour cruise down the Wisconsin River.   There will be a cash bar available.

Humphrey-McKeown is the singer/songwriter partnership of New York native Heather Humphrey and Chicagoan Tom McKeown. They combine organic instrumentation and progressive arrangements to create a folk-rock, Americana sound that is like no other.

WXPR Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Radio present Ali Paris in concert Friday, May 5th at 7:30pm in the UWMC Center for Civic Engagement in Wausau, WI.

WXPR wrapped up its two day GiveBig to MyStation online campaign Friday night and we're pleased to announce that it was a huge success. We received over $9,000 from 112 donors, and the pledges are still coming in. Thanks to you, WXPR was able to close out 2016 strong.

GiveBig to MyStation is a nation-wide effort to support community radio. Together the community radio stations that took part in GiveBig to MyStation raised over $55,000.
