Survey Wants Public To Tell How They Want Northwoods Post-Covid

nps.gov

Business development leaders in the Northwoods are asking for public input on just how Wisconsin should re-open for business. There's a survey that everyone is invited to review and give their ideas.

Myles Alexander is Senior Outreach Specialist at UW Extension - Oneida County....

"Given all the change we're going through, globally and here in the Northwoods, how can we learn from what people are learning on how to manage life? What's really important?"

A four question survey asks “How can we use what we are learning during COVID-19 to make an even better Northwoods?"

The responses are anonymous. Alexander hopes the public comes forward with positive ideas...

"What can we do to influence the big things that will be happening to make it more likely that we'll get the best Northwoods possible..."

Alexander says efforts to slow COVID-19 do not affect everyone the same. He says some people lost their jobs. Others are working from home. Teachers moved instruction on line. Children isolated at home continue their education. Many businesses and community organizations are in crisis. He says people are finding ways to keep daily life and businesses going.

There's a link to the survey HERE.

Alexander says they will compile responses submitted by Wednesday May 6.
