Open Airwaves Summer Concert Saturday, July 19

Music Makes a Difference and WXPR present a Free Summer Concert to support WXPR on Saturday, July 19th in downtown Rhinelander.

The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with a performance by Mama Ginger & The Red Hots, known for their soulful blend of blues and swing. Then, roots-rock icon Webb Wilder and his band take the stage, delivering a signature mix of rock, country, and Americana.

This free community concert invites music lovers of all ages to enjoy live music and dancing. No tickets are required—just bring a picnic basket, a chair, and your dancing shoes!

The concert will be held outdoors at ArtStart (weather permitting).

This event is made possible with generous support from Music Makes a Difference and Lakeland Realty.

David McClister

Webb Wilder was blending roots rock, country, blues, and rockabilly before “Americana” had a name. A true original and a member of Roots Rock royalty, the Hattiesburg, Mississippi native has carved out a nearly 40-year career defined by high-energy performances, sharp songwriting, and a sound he proudly dubs “Uneasy Listening.”

With major label releases, MTV airplay, and a place in the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame, Wilder has taken his genre-blurring music across the country and around the world. Hillbilly Speedball marks his 13th album and showcases his signature mix of rock & roll grit and Southern soul.

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Erin Krebs—a WAMI award-winning artist whose voice channels the Etta's grit, Aretha's soul, and Ella's chops—this band brings energy, emotion, and top-tier musicianship to every performance.
