There was no decision made on the future of Maple Grove Charter school in a Wednesday night meeting.
Late in 2019 the Merrill Area Public School District said it was considering closing the school due to declining enrollment at Maple Grove and across the district.
"It involved the contract. The Maple Grove Charter contract and so the next steps what was decided was to make a motion to refer that contract back as some default areas," said Dr. John Sample who is the superintendent of the school district
What specifically those default areas were was not released to the public after Wednesday's meeting. Maple Grove has until April 1 to correct those defaults.
