northwoodsfilmfestival.org

The lineup is set for the first annual Northwoods Film Festival! Friday and Saturday at the Lakeland Cinema 6 in Woodruff.

Executive Director of Northwoods Film Festival, Bess Donoghue, says there's several different types of films to see...

"...We have four exciting films to play for audiences. We have two documentaries and two narrative films. Each film brings something different, but their all equally engaging and entertaining as the other. They're not super controversial films, they're not super intense, they're very light-hearted and I think once people come by they will really enjoy the experience..."

THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM - begins Friday at 5:30PM, which chronicles the eight-year quest of a couple as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature.

WILD ROSE - A rebellious country singer who dreams of trading the working-class streets of Glasgow for the Grand Ole Opry of Nashville. The showing is Friday at 7:45PM.

MAIDEN - profiles an all-female sailboat crew in the manly world of open-ocean yacht racing, Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

JULIET, NAKED will be seen Saturday at 7:45PM. The story of a woman stuck in a long-term relationship with a man who is an obsessive fan of an obscure rocker.

Donoghue says there will be short films between the feature-length films.
