UPDATE 4/30/2020. Minocqua Public Library will begin offering curbside service on May 4, though the library remains closed.  That was announced Wednesday. See their website for more information.

A few libraries across the Northwoods have been, or are beginning to offer, curbside service. The Walter E. Olson Library in Eagle River and some, not all, Vilas county libraries are offering the service.

Olson Executive Director Sara Klemann says recent announcements from Governor Evers allowed curbside pick so some libraries are offering the no-contact service..

"Starting this Friday, May 1, we'll be offering at least three days a week scheduled times where people can come in and pick up items they've requested online, by email or calling the library staff..."

The Koller Library in Manitowish Waters is offering the service, as is the Mercer Library. The Presque Isle Library is offering it by appointment only. Boulder Junction is offering service May 1, Hurley is offering it May 5.

Update: Minocqua Public Library will begin service on May 4 according to their website.

At the Demmer Library in Three Lakes, Director Erica Brewster says they will begin May 4, Mondays and Thursdays, 1 PM – 5 PM for pickup.

Checking library websites, Crandon Public Library is offering curbside pickup. Tomahawk began curbside service Wednesday. The T.B. Scott Library in Merrill is offering curbside pickup. At Rib Lake, curbside service begins May 4. Winchester begins April 30.

Among the libraries not offering curbside pickup according to their websites are the Rhinelander District library, the Antigo Public Library, Laona, Lac du Flambeau, Land O' Lakes,  Wabeno, Phelps, Plum Lake, Phillips and Park Falls.

Check your library's website for updates and how curbside service is being offered.
