A former president of the Rhinelander City Council has died.
An obituary notice was published on the Carlson Funeral Home website for 73-year-old George Kirby.
Kirby died Saturday at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff. Kirby was council president until his term ended in April as he did not run for another term.
A complete funeral notice will be published later, according to the Carlson website.
