Rhinelander Ends Running Water Credit for 2021

PIXABAY.COM

The ground is warming up enough that people in Rhinelander no longer need to run their water. The City of Rhinelander Water Utility has observed that frost has now released from ground surfaces in the service area.

People who were on the City’s list and ran their water during the approved times this winter will be credited. That credit period ends on March 22.

In a statement the City said, “It appears the running water credit system has successfully minimized the freezing that can occur in the public water system and reduced our overall operational costs. The City of Rhinelander appreciates the conservation of water used by the utility customers to achieve a goal of frost-free operations.”
