AMBER ALERT CANCELED: Police Find Infant with Medical Issues

Update 8/5/21 at 4:50 p.m.: Police have found a missing child that sparked a statewide Amber Alert.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department says with the assistance of many law enforcement partners, the vehicle was located outside of Wood County.

Dorian Geisen was recovered and is safe.

Two people are in custody.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department says they are still investigating.

An amber has been issued for Dorian Giesen.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Dorian Giesen.

The police department was investigating a possible child neglect case.

When officers tried to contact the mother, Haley Pelot, a car chase started.

Police stopped chasing when Haley threatened to physically harm Dorian.

The child has a life threatening medical condition that requires medication multiple times per day.

It is believed that the mother does not have the medication with her. The child requires immediate medical attention.

Pelot is driving a silver Toyota Camry with a black front bumper.

Vehicle Description: Silver colored 2002 Toyota Camry with a black front bumper (pictured below).

There is now a Department of Corrections (DOC) Warrant issued for: Haley N. Pelot
