Two Arrests Made After String Of Multi-County Tavern Burglaries

Two Wausau area men have been arrested in connection with a string of tavern burglaries in central and northern Wisconsin.

30-year-old James Carl MacDonald and 40-year-old Anthony Lamont Brown of Schofield are in the Oneida County Jail.

Oneida County Sheriff's Department Captain Tyler Young reports the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation involving several different jurisdictions. The investigating agenices include the Minocqua, Woodruff, Three Lakes, Wausau, Antigo and Tomahawk police departments, Oneida, Vilas, Lincoln, Langlade county sheriff departments, the Mid States Organized Crime Information Center and the Wisconsin Crime Lab.

Oneida county officials are asking the public to step forward if there's more information on the numerous tavern burglaries. Contact your local law enforcement agency.
