Eagle River Celebrates Grand Opening of Business Incubator

facebook

The Vilas County Economic Development Corporation is celebrating the grand opening of a new business incubator in Eagle River this weekend.

The Vilas County Business Incubators have paved the way for locals to start businesses at a low cost to promote economic growth and employment opportunities in the Northwoods, and a former bulk foods store in Eagle River is now the hub for creative business start ups.

Project manager Barry McLeane talks about the new incubator…

“…it’s called Eye on Entrepreneurs building, his idea was to put in here creative people only and bring in folks that can create from all aspects not just from the standpoint of painting and things like that, but high tech creation, quilt-making, embroidery, sign-making…all kinds of things.”

McLeane says one of the missions of the incubator is to keep young people in Vilas County.

The Eye on Entrepreneurs Incubator is home to businesses like Goose Cap Media and the Blank Canvas.

The grand opening is Saturday, July 30 from 10a to 1p at 348 West Pine Street in Eagle River.  The opening will offer food, refreshments, tours and drawings.
