Hitchin' A Ride

Sophie Laplante, from Quebec, Canada (en route to the Yukon Territory) got a surprise while driving through northern Vilas County Saturday when a young wild turkey hopped on the top of her vehicle. She had stopped on Highway B west of Land O’ Lakes to chat with the photographer taking photos of the jake wandering the shoulder of the road picking up tiny stones to aid in its digestion. The friendly bird then decided the view was better from above
