Snowmy Kromer Arrives In Minocqua!

Jim Hartwig and Kristen Tichacek on Wednesday put the finishing touches on Snowmy Kromer – the 30-foot snowman in front of the Minocqua Chamber of Commerce Building on U.S. Highway 51, just south of the Island of Minocqua. Extra stuffing (bunched up tarps) was placed under the size 96 Stormy Kromer cap to fluff it up. A large orange traffic cones serves as his nose. Once complete, and the bottom snowfence removed, Snowmy Kromer invites visitors to pose next to him (but not on him) for pictures.--Dean S. Acheson.
