No matter how much you plan, Mother Nature often finds a way to change things. So it goes for the Department of Tourism.
Secretary Stephanie Klett says fall travel activities were changed when the cold snap and snow cover moved into Wisconsin in the last two weeks.

Klett says she will stay on as Tourism Secretary during Governor Walker's second term. She says northern residents should pay attention to the the Governor's Northern Economic Development Summit set for Minocqua December 4 and 5.
Tourism had a $17.5 billion impact on the state’s economy in 2013, up 4% from 2012. Tourism in Wisconsin is up $2.7 billion since 2010.
Visitors generated $1.35 billion in state and local revenue and $1 billion in federal taxes in 2013, saving Wisconsin taxpayers nearly $590 per household.
1 in nearly 13 jobs in the state is sustained by tourism activity.
