Eagle River Industrial Site Dedicated, Offers Being Accepted

Wikimedia Commons Royalbroil

A certified 21 acre development site in Eagle River was dedicated Tuesday( 4/24) by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker to provide a location to assist communities in attracting businesses and creating jobs.

“We want our families to remain in our communities by putting down investments to create jobs to keep our kids here,” Walker said. “We've created investments in broadband grants and increased the per student grants. This site is one of only 20 statewide to provide 'shovel ready' business locations.”

The site, zoned industrial, is located at the intersection of Highways 45 and G just north of downtown Eagle River. Developer Carl Ruederbusch thanked the city of Eagle River and Gov. Walker's programs for their efforts.

“The 21 acres could accommodate 300 to 350,000 square feet of buildings, all with power, sewer and water, and highway access on site,” Ruederbusch said, adding “it's ready now.”

Being “ready now” was echoed by Eagle River Mayor Jeff Hyslop who pointed out how many years it could take to actually have a business develop a site “and here they can be done in day one.”

Anyone  interested in locating a business on the 21 acres can contact Barry McLeane at 715-891-1284.
