A preliminary hearing was waived in Vilas County court Thursday for 51-year-old Bennett Berray and 46- year- old Christina Berray in the alleged theft of between $160,000 and $180,000 from Realtek Electronics Group, a security company in Arbor Vitae.
Court documents allege Bennett Berray made 620 unapproved withdrawls in 2016 and 2017 totalling $92,000 that included $8,500 cash withdrawls from a local bank.
A search warrant last October is alleged to have found $163,705 in fradulent actions.
Christina Berray, charged as a party to a crime, gives an Arbor Vitae address, while Bennett Berray lists a Woodruff address.
Vilas County Judge Neal Nielsen bound both over to enter pleas June 11. Both were released on $10,000 signature bonds and have separate defense attorneys.
