The Wisconsin primary election day is August 14 and a group is sponsoring the two Democrats vying to take on Congressman Sean Duffy.

The Northwoods Chapter of Our Wisconsin Revolution is hosting Margaret Engebretson of Balsam Lake and Brian Ewert of Marshfield in Rhinelander Saturday.

David Barnhill of Minocqua is one of the organizers of the forum...

"....We're going to present them with a series of questions from a wide variety of topics from the environment, to healthcare to the economy, so we get a chance to see what their ideas are on these important issues. Then we are going to divide the audience into small groups to meet individually and informally with each of the candidates...."

Barnhill thinks the vast Congressional district is competitive for Democrats this time around...

"....I think the political situation that we have now, the indications are going to be that this Congressional election in November is going to be highly competitive. More so than in the past...."

The winner of the primary will take on Republican incumbent Sean Duffy of Wausau. The forum starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Days Inn, North Stevens St. in Rhinelander.
