The City of Rhinelander is hosting two public input meetings Tuesday night to hear public comment on the possibility of ATV/UTV trails in Rhinelander, then a session to hear about making streets friendlier for bikes and pedestrians.
The first meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at city hall, followed by the bicycle-pedestrian discussion at 7:00 p.m.
Both issues have arisen at recent committee and council meetings.
In a press release, City Administrator Daniel Guild said as the city looks to the future, it needs to discuss both motorized and non-motorized transportation on city streets. The public discussion will include a presentation from Guild, and comments by a panel of local officials including the EMS/Fire Chief Terry Williams, Police Chief Lloyd Gauthier, Public Works Director Tim Kingman, Parks Director Jeremy Biolo and others.
