We incorrectly identified the person reporting to authorities an incident on Gunlock Lake in May as Thomas Maulson, Jr. That is incorrect. The person in the boat that night was TJ Maulson.

The investigation continues into what has been described as a 'shooting incident' in May in Lac du Flambeau. A public file indicated the incident happened May 7 on Gunlock Lake. No injuries were reported.
TJ Maulson reported to the sheriff's department shots were allegedly fired that evening while he and two others in a boat were exercising their treaty rights.
A search warrant was issued on May 14 for a residence on Gunlock Lake Lane. The search warrant was served late afternoon on May 14. A number of guns of varying types and calibers were seized along with matching ammunition. No charges have been filed to date by officials.
