The former director of two Northwoods institutions is charged with embezzlement and faces court hearings.
The Lakeland Times reports Kimberly Baltus of Minocqua is charged with one count of felony theft of more than $10,000.
The criminal complaint alleges Baltus cashed 41 checks for almost $46,000 between January, 2017 and October 2018.
The checks were alleged to have been cashed while Baltus was employed as the Director at Ascension Sacred Heart St. Mary's Hospital Foundation. She left employment there in October of 2018. P
rior to the position at the foundation, Baltus was the Executive Director of the former Mincoqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
Baltus will be in Oneida County Circuit Court on July 29.
