WJFW TV reports a 20-page complaint confirms Rhinelander's former public works director, Tim Kingman, filed a wrongful termination lawsuit this week in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Following his dismissal June 25, Kingman is seeking lost wages, compensatory and punitive damages.
Mayor Chris Frederickson, City Administrator Daniel Guild and the City of Rhinelander are named as defendants in the complaint. Alderpersons Andrew Larson, David Holt, Steve Sauer and Ryan Rossing are also named.
In April, Kingman was accused of creating a hostile work environment for employees of the Public Works Department.
Kingman spoke out publically against City Administrator Daniel Guild.
