The Wisconsin National Guard is returning to Rhinelander next week to conduct another round of COVID-19 testing.
The Oneida County Health Department requested assistance to scale up COVID-19 nasal swab testing. The drive- through style testing will be Tuesday, July 14 at James Williams Middle School in Rhinelander from 11:00 AM to 7:00 p.m.
Department Director-Health Officer Linda Conlon says it's open to anyone who stops by in their vehicles. She says the local health providers asked for another testing with the National Guard because so many people were requesting tests...
"We're hoping we have another great turnout. Our goal is to help us provide our community with more testing and to give our area a better understanding of where we stand with our COVID-19 positives, as we are seeing an increase in positives every day..."
More information on the testing is on the Oneida County Public Health website by clicking on the tab 'communications' and 'press releases'.
According to state statistics, Oneida county has had 26 positive results, Vilas county 14, Forest county 40 positives and three deaths, Lincoln county 17 positives, Langlade 11, Price county two positives, Iron county 8 positives and one death.
